Bedford Garden Festival

updated 6 Septembe 2016

Run away from your daily routine, come to Bedford for three days of fresh air and inspiration. World renowned country gardens, pretty town and township gardens, scrumptious food, fine wines, fun-loving farmers … these are a few of our favourite things.  And we love sharing them.

The Garden Festival is a touring adventure. With our comprehensive map you will discover stunning scenery on quiet country roads, visiting open gardens en route. Meet the gardeners and pick their brains – local know-how is based on generations of experience.
Choose from masses of home-grown plants and gardening necessities, meander through the craft stalls at The Country Market and stock up on locally-produced pantry-fillers in our Food Market. To get the flavour of the event and read about what has happened in previous years, see Ivor markman's great site!whats-new/c1mg orwrite to:

The event adds adrenalin to the weekend and helps spotlight our fesity township gardeners and their achievements. There'll be lots of prizes (and waterpoints!) and the route will take the runners along the main township garden route. If you would like to enter, please write to
